Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about how VerifyBefore works and what it can and cannot do.

Is this legal advice?

No. VerifyBefore provides AI-assisted risk information to help you ask better questions and verify things independently. It is not legal, financial, investment, tax, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified lawyer, financial adviser, or relevant professional for important decisions.

Does VerifyBefore tell me if something is fake?

No. The report identifies risk signals and verification gaps based on what the document contains and what you were asked to do. It cannot verify a document's authenticity or prove fraud. Think of it as a structured second opinion — not a forensic determination.

Are my documents stored?

Uploaded files are temporary and deleted after analysis. If you choose to save a report, we save the report text and metadata — not the original uploaded file. Saving reports requires a Plus or Family plan.

Can a real company still be impersonated?

Yes. Public records can confirm that a company exists, but they cannot confirm that the person contacting you is authorized to act for that company. Always verify contact details through an independently sourced official website — not through contact information shown in the document or provided by the sender.

What should I do if the report says High Risk?

Do not send money, sign documents, or share personal information until you have verified the request independently. Use the verification steps and questions in the report, and consider contacting the relevant agency or company through an official, independently sourced channel.

What do the paid plans include?

Single Review ($2.99) gives one additional review with no subscription required. Plus ($9.99/mo) and Family ($19.99/mo) include monthly reviews, saved reports, PDF export, Public Company Check, and Verification Outreach. Every account also includes 1 free review that renews monthly.
